Through the Charting Glass: Managing the Curious Case of the Gray Area Patient

Description

In hospice care, some patients fall into a “gray area” where eligibility is not clearly met or easily defended—yet the need for care remains real. This interactive session invites clinical leaders to explore how to manage these complex cases with sound clinical judgment, regulatory awareness, and team-based decision-making. Through case study analysis, documentation coaching, and facilitated discussion, attendees will practice leading through ambiguity and learn how to support their teams in navigating challenging eligibility decisions. Participants will leave equipped with defensible documentation strategies, peer coaching techniques, and practical tools to ensure patient-centered care remains compliant and compassionate.
