Safeguarding the Heart of Care: A Cybersecurity Workshop


Description

This workshop will equip healthcare professionals with the essential cybersecurity knowledge and best practices to protect sensitive patient data and maintain the integrity of care delivery systems. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the cyber threats facing the healthcare industry, learn to identify vulnerabilities, and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks. Through interactive sessions and real-world case studies, attendees will develop the skills necessary to safeguard their organization's digital infrastructure and build a culture of cybersecurity awareness. By the end of this workshop, participants will be empowered to enhance their organization's cybersecurity posture and contribute to a safer healthcare environment.

    Certified Cybersecurity and Compliance Professional, Compliance and Security Officer, Azm Solutions, Wichita, KS                                                                  

    Tariq is Founder and CEO of Axm Solutions in Wichita. Tariq has worked in all aspects of IT; support desk, project management, data analysis, etc. Former experience includes working for the Kansas Bureau of investigation where he gained much of his knowledge and experience in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics. Tariq holds a degree in Software Engineering from Southwestern College and multiple certifications in security and compliance. He has also served as Adjunct Professor at WSU Tech teaching Cybersecurity, IoT and IoMT.

    Kansas Home Care & Hospice Association is approved as a provider of CNE by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 1.2 contact hours applicable for APRN, RN, or LPN relicensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing provider number: LT0287-0314. 


    Other disciplines will need to apply independently – a certificate of attendance for 1.0 CE hours will be provided.
