Managing Clients with Behavioral Health Diagnosis

Description
This webinar is designed to guide home health professionals in providing whole-person care, ensuring that behavioral health is addressed along with any physical health issues. When clinicians have the confidence to support a patient’s behavioral health status, it better prepares them to meet the needs of the patient.
Objectives
- Learn how to build trust using the right verbiage.
- Learn how to have judgement free conversations.
- Identify if your patient is in crisis mode and learn how to deescalate the situation.
Meet the Speaker
Sarah Boyd, Metro Mental Health Program Manager, Accra
Sarah’s education and training include a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Integrated Behavioral Health, and she is currently pursuing a post graduate licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. Sarah has clinical training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma informed approaches, as well as clinical experience in residential, crisis and outpatient service settings. With experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), and co-occurring disorders. Sarah has been with Accra since 2019.

Prior to the webinar, a Zoom link will be e-mailed to you. You will need to click on this link to access the webinar; a dial-in number and an access code to listen in via telephone will also be provided. You will also be sent any pertinent handouts if available to the email address you provide.
This webinar will be recorded and made available to registrants. Those viewing the recording will not be eligible for CEU.
Continuing Education
This program has been designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the Minnesota Board of Nursing, Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist Licensing and the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy for 2.0 contact hours.
A certificate of attendance will also be offered. We will be tracking attendance via zoom and will be auditing the total time spent watching the webinar(s). The webinar(s) must be watched in their entirety for CEUs, partial credit will not be awarded. CEUs will not be available with the recording link.

Cancellations
Fees will be refunded only if written cancellation is received prior to the workshop webinar link being sent to your agency. In the event of a written cancellation, KHCHA will retain or charge $25 of the initial registration fee to cover administrative overhead.
