The Notice of Admission -

the RAP Successor

Webinar

Friday, January 28, 2022

10:00 am –  11:00 am CST **

** Recording available for one month

The Notice of Admission (NOA) in 2022 is the next big issue in billing Medicare payers for Home Health services. The Request for Anticipated Payment had no associated reimbursement in 2021 but carried a monetary penalty if not filed timely and the same will be true for the NOA. The NOA potentially carries a more significant potential penalty and agencies must be prepared.  The NOA is filed ONLY at the Start of Care for patients vs. every 30 days as the RAP was.  This session will review some of the key areas of concern with the NOA and guide agencies in the direction of full compliance.

1.      Review the details for NOA regulation from the 2022 Home Health Final Rule.

2.      Review statistics regarding the No Pay RAP.

3.      Outline the NOA timely filing penalty and how agencies should monitor.

4.      Review Claims Processing Manual for Updates.

5.      Detail the plan of attack for agencies to succeed with NOA implementation in 2022.

Continuing Education Credits:   This program has been designed to meet the continuing education requirements for the Minnesota Board of Nursing for 1.0 contact hour. It is the responsibility of the participant to assure that this program meets the licensing and continuing education requirements of their state board and to retain the required documents in his/her personal file. Attendees must participate in the entire presentation in order for contact hours to be awarded – partial credit will not be available.  To apply for nursing contact hours, within one week following webinar participation, a completed sign-in sheet and evaluations from each individual must be returned to MHCA.  Certificates will then be issued by e-mail.

Confirmation:  Prior to the webinar, a Zoom Webinar link will be e-mailed to you. You will need to click on this link to access the webinar, a dial-in number and an access code to listen in via telephone. You will also be sent any pertinent handouts if available and evaluation link.

Webinar Recording:  You will be sent the recording link following the presentation and it will be available for 1 month following the webinar. The webinar format allows a concise and low-cost format plus the additional bonus of having access to the materials for 1 month and provides additional flexibility to ensure you have an opportunity to access the information.

Registration:  The registration deadline is January 26. Registrations may not be shared between agencies – the agency’s registration covers the access of only one phone line/computer access to the webinar. Multiple site participation for your agency will require a separate registration fee for each connection. Please note: if your agency has sent in 1 registration but 3 people from your agency register through the Zoom link, your agency will be invoiced for the additional 2 registrations.
